“Expressionistic Marsh Landscapes,” Exciting new work by internationally collected artist Tiffani Taylor is now being shown at the Irene Sullivan Gallery on Tybee Island. The gallery also has paintings by Ann Jackson, Marcos Bahove, Skye Tarr, Ting Blessington and Janice Bentley.

Last Saturday, Savannah’s own Tiffani Taylor debuted her lastest collection of paintings titled “Expressionistic Marsh Landscapes,” at the Irene Sullivan Gallery on Tybee Island. The event showcased some of Taylor’s most recent paintings and showed the magnificent beauty of the marsh and how they are communicated through the artistic prowess of Tiffani Taylor.

Taylor’s paintings capture the essence of coastal landscapes, landmarks and an array of poppy fields in the most beautiful, uniquely ornate and intriguing ways. Many came out in support of Taylor, including South Magazine’s Publisher and Creative Director Michael Brooks and his family.

South magazine hosted the 4th year Anniversary Party to launch our annual Arts issue .   With help from Stage Front we created several vinnettes to celebrate the arts of fashion,music,design and fine arts. Over 500 people came to celebrate with us including special guests like Gregg Allman, Tiffani Taylor and Listen 2 Three.  We had such an amazing time and we are so grateful to everyone that made that night unforgettable. Drawing divine inspiration from the world around her, a few years ago Tiffani Taylor descended onto the national art scene garnering widespread recognition and a long list of devotees. Now, she’s spreading the love to other local artists and keeping a few Savannah students under her wing.
Some might call Tiffani Taylor a prophet of sorts and rightly so. As she walks around her home studio, she describes the warmly-lit space as her personal sanctuary and points to her bright paintings, explaining the inspiration behind them.
“I had this vivid dream of a red poppy field, and I was sketching in the field, and I saw the sheet music,” she says describing what is now a series of large landscape paintings that incorporate clips of vintage sheet music. “And I saw truth depicted in the middle of the bulbous red blooms.”
