The Mighty 8th Museum will be holding a Memorial Day Event on Monday the 31st. The museum will offer a special reduced rate of $5 for veterans and active duty military members on that day.

Throughout the day, guests will be given a small American flag to plant in the museum’s expansive Memorial Garden. “It’s a symbolic act,” said Mandy Livingston of the Mighty 8th. The garden memorializes over 7,000 veterans. Livingston said the event usually draws a large crowd. Veterans especially come out to honor the past.
