Latin rhythms, passionate dancing and beautiful costumes were on display at the Savannah Dance Festival Saturday, January 26 at the Savannah Riverfront Mariott. An all-day competition that was free and open to the public culminated with a professional dance show Saturday night.

You’ve read about her in the book, you’ve seen her in the movie, and Saturday night, The Lady Chablis took the stage along with many other talented performers. This stunning female impersonator rose to fame after she was featured in John Berendt’s “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” and played herself in the movie adaptation. She now performs at her home club, “Club One” on Jefferson St, as well as touring the country for various other appearances.
