SCHEDULE
6:30am – Morning departure from Statesboro and travel to St. Mary’s
9:30am – Arrive St. Mary’s to board ferry
10:00am – Ferry departs for Cumberland Island
11:00am – Arrive Cumberland, begin guided tour of Dungeness
Plantation, beach walk, and Sea Camp.
(bottled water is provided for each person)
2:45pm – Ferry departs Cumberland Island / cruise past submarine base and return to the mainland.
3:30pm – Board motor coach for return trip home
6:30pm – ETA Statesboro

Midnight Garden Ride: A Bike Ride at Night
Sample the nocturnal sights and sounds of the streets of Savannah from behind your handlebars on the second annual Midnight Garden Ride.
The Midnight Garden Ride is a non-competitive, nighttime bike ride through Historic Downtown Savannah. Hundreds were there in 2009 to turn the night streets of Savannah into a wave of blinking lights, music and pedal powered fun.
Cost: $20 – preregistration, $15 – for Savannah Bicycle Campaign members

Georgia Historical Society presents “An Evening Former Chief Justice Leah Ward Sears
The first woman and youngest person ever to serve on the Georgia Supreme Court and the first female African American chief justice in the United States, Chief Justice Leah Ward Sears has achieved a distinguished place in Georgia and American history. She is a longtime champion of family law and civil justice matters and has twice been short-listed as a U.S. Supreme Court nominee. Chief Justice Sears retired from the Georgia Supreme Court in 2009 in order to practice law in Atlanta and currently serves as a visiting professor at the University of Georgia School of Law and the Institute for American Values. Engaging, informative and always captivating, Chief Justice Sears will educate and entertain her audience during what promises to be an unforgettable evening.

The 8th Annual Robbie Smith Golf Outing
Robbie Smith was a vibrant, sports-loving young man who died in December 1994, just one day shy of his 30th birthday. For the past seven years, his family and friends have organized a fun-filled day of golf and leisure in his honor and in gratitude for the care provided by Hospice Savannah during the last 15 months of Robbie’s life.
This year’s outing will have shotgun start with a four-man scramble (captain’s choice) format. Prizes for first and second place, closest to the pin and longest drive. There will be a putting contest, raffle and auction and lunch will be provided.
Cost: $100 per player, sponsorships are $100 per hole.
