The Visual Life: The Sartorialist
There’s no written rule that says that fashion is only for the famous. One person who would agree with this statement would be Scott Schumann, a.k.a the Sartorialist. His passion is to travel the world and photograph people, focusing on the style of people he finds on the streets. Schumann, in partnership with Intel, is developing a web series in which the camera lens is turned on him. This is a chance to see the man behind the camera, the Sartorialist.

“Qualifies for Dreammaker” Opening Reception

Indigo Sky Community Gallery is proud to announce its latest upcoming exhibition, Qualifies for Dreammaker. This exhibition presents the MFA thesis work of David Strohl, whose photographs of Savannah’s eastside reveal a rich tapestry of cultural heritage. Best in Show
Just across the Talmadge Bridge sits the breathtaking Ronald C. Waranch Equestrian Center. The 100-acre center belongs to the Savannah College of Art and Design and encompasses a picturesque barn, lush grazing fields, horse paddocks surrounded by white wooden fences, and a competition area. Along with an elite team, SCAD offers a B.A. in equestrian studies for those who want to turn their passion for riding into a lifelong career. A few of the student athletes took time out of their busy schedules to show off the high fashion side of the sport.

Things I Saw While Walking Around Gallery Reception
Images taken over the summer of 2010 from Seattle to Northern Alaska characterize the residential and industrial life along the West Coast of the United States and Canada.
Photographer Jim Roche’s work addresses issues of line, composition and extended mood which is in stark contrast to most current photography where he lives in British Columbia.

Time Machine Portrait Company / Broughton Studios
The Time Machine Portrait Co. opened it’s doors on October 31, 2009 and introduced Savannah to a new, exciting way to become a part of the past.
Before The Time Machine came to fruition, owners Maria and Kefren Arjona were insurance claim adjusters in Miami, Florida. Although they adore Miami, they yearned to try something drastically different and immensely fulfilling; something that made everyone, including themselves, smile.
