Queer Power March

Savannah queer activists are proud to announce our city’s first-ever Queer Power March, to be held on September 10th.

The march assembly will begin at 6 pm in Johnson Square and move down the streets of Broughton, Montgomery, and Congress ending at Ellis Square with famous speakers. The march is being organized to give a voice to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI) youth, and to empower citizens of our community to be fierce activists for equality in order to make Savannah a more progressive city. Through this march, participants will be encouraged to think globally and act locally.

After the march, participants will be celebrating the movement at the Mirage Hookah Bar with the Queer Jamz After Party featuring queer artists. The march is being sponsored in part by Georgia Equality, First City Network, Savannah Pride, Queers and Allies, and Armstrong Gay-Straight Alliance.

Cost: Free
