Holiday cheer rang out along Broughton Street during their fourth annual Holiday Open House on December 8th. Savannah Philharmonic Chorus members led by Artistic Director and Conductor Peter Shannon gave holiday shoppers cause to pause as they strolled along Broughton Street filling the night air with the beautiful harmonies of traditional Christmas carols. Store owners extended their hours, offering complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drinks to shoppers as they browsed through a wonderland of elegantly and uniquely decorated stores and windows.

With the St. Pat’s season under way, everyone could use some help finding the best of the best when it comes to getting the green. It’s time once again to put out your best decorations for the holiday season and challenge your neighbor’s to top you. On December 14th, just after dark, the judges will be out looking for “Best Seasonal”, Best Door”, “Best Religious” and ” Best Overall” for the city. If you want to have your house judged, please call (912) 966-7428 and tell Wanda what category you want to be placed in for the competition.
Winners will be announced at the Council meeting on December 16th.
