The Six Wives of Henry VIII

“Divorced, beheaded, died; divorced, beheaded, survived.” This little rhyme reminds students of Tudor history about the variety of consequences associated with being the wife of England’s King Henry VIII. Yet there is quite a bit more to know about these six remarkable women other than their ultimate fates. This lecture reveals the fascinating stories of the wives of a powerful and famous king, each of them a royal queen of England. Rob Bayless earned his B.A. in history from John Carroll University in Cleveland. Upon retirement, after a long career in advertising, he has taught numerous courses in Tudor history, most recently at AASU.

Admission: $5 for members, $10 for visitors, $5 for lunch if desired
