The McGladrey Classic, which takes place Oct 4-10th at the Sea Island Golf Club at St. Simons Island, has opened up ticket sales to the public.Tickets are available on www.mcgladreyclassic.com . Proceeds from the tournament benefit Special Olympics and local children and family charities- the Boys and Girls Club and Safe Harbor. The McGladrey Classic is new to the PGA TOUR Fall Series and promises to be a unique and spectacular event with host Davis Love III.

A charity golf tournament has been set up to benefit Harris Orsini, a 7 month old with Bilary Atresia, a liver malfunction. Since birth he has been hospitalized multiple times, gone through a major surgery, and has a high possibility of needing a liver transplant. The monetary strain from all the treatments, trips and loss of work is overwhelming for his family. Your help would be greatly appreciated for little Harris! Please contact Rob if you want to play in the tournament, make a donation, sponsor a hole, or donate a door prize. (Gift certificate or Item does NOT have to be golf related.) Banquet luncheon starts at 11:30am and Shotgun start at 1:30pm.
There will be prizes for the top 3 teams, longest drive, putting contest, closest to the pin, and door prize drawings.

As if in celebration, tournaments have been scheduled throughout September and October in the Southeastern region. Many of these tournaments are also all about raising money for charity. You can play, sponsor holes or watch your favorite pro golfers, all while contributing to a great cause.

Come out and be a part of Step Up Savannah’s 1st annual “college fans” golf tournament. You don’t have to be an actual college athlete or even a student or alum of a school to participate. Just come out and represent the school that you root for and wear their colors proudly!
Here’s the format: Four person teams by college affiliation. There can be multiple teams per college. Teams are highly encouraged to wear their school colors. Play your own ball. (It’s not a scramble.)
How we’ll handle scoring: Two Best Balls on each hole, with Gross and Net Winners.
Prizes are awarded as follows: First Gross, First Net, Second Net, Third Net, & Closest to the Pin on Par 3’s.
Cost: $400 per team of four. $100 for Hole Sponsorship opportunities.

Robbie Smith was a vibrant, sports-loving young man who died in December 1994, just one day shy of his 30th birthday. For the past seven years, his family and friends have organized a fun-filled day of golf and leisure in his honor and in gratitude for the care provided by Hospice Savannah during the last 15 months of Robbie’s life.
This year’s outing will have shotgun start with a four-man scramble (captain’s choice) format. Prizes for first and second place, closest to the pin and longest drive. There will be a putting contest, raffle and auction and lunch will be provided.
Cost: $100 per player, sponsorships are $100 per hole.
