Cocktails for a Cause is going back in time! Join us on the ride as we take a trip to “back when,” Old Hollywood style! We’ll be walking the red carpet as some of Tinseltowns’ greatest names, playing some showtunes on the piano and having a great time while we help out a great cause- The American Cancer Society. The paparazzi will be in full effect, so come ready to strut your stuff like the movie star you are!

Cocktails for a Cause

Join the First City Club for ‘Cocktails for a Cause’ benefitting the United Way of the Coastal Empire. The evening will feature free appetizers, entertainment and signature cocktails Tinkerbell and Peter Pan. $1 of each signature cocktail purchased goes to United Way. Other drink specials include $2 domestic beers and  $3 house wines. Dress is business casual and the event is open to the public.

As the summer’s heat wears on, the club is providing members the opportunity to have a casual lunch while listening to some great Southern tunes. Every Friday in the months of July and August the club suspends the dress code so its members can let loose!

Cocktails for a Cause

“Cocktails for a Cause” to help raise awareness for local charities. Valet parking available. Proceeds from this event will help people with Down Syndrome and their families with education, support and advocacy. The Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society provides; “New Parent Packets” for families learning about Down Syndrome, helps send members and advocates to conferences, seminars and workshops, holds “CAMP BUDDY” each summer for children with down syndrome from ages 3-6, and “The Buddy Walk” which draws over 3000 walkers to Forsyth Park every October and sponsors the NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS which recognizes employees in the community with Down Syndrome and other intellectual disabilities. NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS also highlights the businesses that employees them.

The Savannah Philharmonic and First City Club Extend an Invitation to “April in Paris”

Enjoy a cocktail for a cause at the First City Club in historic downtown with live music provided by the Savannah Philharmonic. A silent auction and raffle will be featured as well as complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drinks. All proceeds will benefit The Savannah Philharmonic in its future musical endeavors.

Daily Blog: First City of Glee

fcbearNo matter if you consider yourself a gleeful person around the holidays or not, everyone can admit that a city has a different glow and aura as the holidays approach. People tend to have a hop in there step and smile on their face a little easier than usual.

Last night was the First City Club’s Membership Appreciation Holiday Party and the mood was as festive as anyone could imagine. With over 200 members that attended the night was set to be a blast.
