Mamie Ruth Showroom Opening

Mamie Ruth’s tribal inspired fashions
Event coverage by Shena And The Fashion Rehabber
At the beginning of 2012, Emily Bargeron’s Mamie Ruth’s designs were housed in Custard Boutique. The ‘trunk show’ was a popular entity in the boutique and Bargeron’s tribal-print inspired clothing became a hit on Savannah’s growing fashion scene. Savannah’s Fashion Week saw the cutting edge S.E.A.M event at ARC on Broughton Street harold in a host of up and coming designers. Mamie Ruth’s bold skirts, dresses and jewelry was featured along with many of Savannah’s top boutiques and fashion designers. The theme of bright colors, prints and patterns were seen at many conventions, fashion and trunk shows in the South-East region. She ran her eco-friendly clothing company from her design studio on Taylor Street, across from her launch pad at Custard.
What was once simply the studio for creating the clothing line has been transformed into the Mamie Ruth Showroom. On November 29th, the space became both boutique and show place, displaying the multi-faceted clothing and accessories Bargeron makes by hand on the premises. The ample space is a comfortable, warm and artistic atmosphere that has been newly re-vamped and open to the public.
A host of well wishers, fashonistas, shoppers and fellow designers enjoyed a glass of champagne in celebration of the opening. The reception at the showroom included Mangled Courtesan designer April Johnston and Fashion Stylist Brooke Atwood who showed their support and browsed the racks of new designs. Doug Ordway of Rise Models/Crazy Horse Productions along with Rise model Brianna checked out the new show place while perusing Mamie Ruth’s dresses, Mr. by Mamie Ruth, Mini Mamie and jewelry lines. Rise’s Makenna Reeder is a premier model for Mamie Ruth’s trunk shows, media releases and on-line and print advertising campaigns.
The showroom is the perfect place for someone to select from the rack and get a custom-fitting in the design studio. It’s a dream come true for anyone who desires a truly pleasurable shopping experience complete with the designer on hand to assist you with your clothing selection.
