Guide: Where to EAT for Mother’s Day
A bouquet of flowers and a handmade card always makes a mother smile. But maybe this year you think Mom deserves a little something extra. And, trust us, she does! To make it a little easier on you, SOUTH is giving you a whole collection of suggestions to treat the mother in your life to the happiest Mother’s Day ever. Because remember: If mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.
First things first, mom does not want to cook on her special day. Although, she would probably enjoy a homemade dinner from her little darlings, what she’ll really love is to EAT a beautiful meal out on the town.
Il Pasticcio at 2 East Broughton Street is always a great place to splurge on someone you love. Make reservations by calling 912.231.8888.

Blog: Ripe for the Pickin’
Spring has definitely sprung in southeast Georgia! With it comes all the fabulous festivals that we anxiously anticipate with the arrival of this glorious season. The 14th annual Strawberry Festival, hosted last weekend at Ottawa Farms in Bloomingdale, was 2 days of fun-filled, outdoor pleasure.
Along with all the arts and craft booths, rides, games, and attractions, there were, of course, the fantastic festival foods. Booths set up along the midway offered your typical “fair fare”, but over in the covered dining pavilion was where the real magic was being created and served. The strawberry farm’s abbreviated 3-item menu was country simple: homemade strawberry ice cream, strawberry shortcake, and chocolate covered strawberries. The only tough part for us patrons was choosing.
