Broughton Street Holiday Open House

Holiday cheer rang out along Broughton Street during their fourth annual Holiday Open House on December 8th. Savannah Philharmonic Chorus members led by Artistic Director and Conductor Peter Shannon gave holiday shoppers cause to pause as they strolled along Broughton Street filling the night air with the beautiful harmonies of traditional Christmas carols. Store owners extended their hours, offering complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drinks to shoppers as they browsed through a wonderland of elegantly and uniquely decorated stores and windows.

Representing the infamous PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) group, the two girls and an older woman, who was handing out a vegan recipe guide, visited Savannah as part of a roaming campaign against the inhumane treatment of animals.
