The First Friday 16th anniversary show will feature Joni Bishop, whose introduction to music began when she got her first guitar at age 9 and discovered folk/roots music. She has toured extensively throughout the U.S. and in Europe and was a New Folk winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas. Bishop has recorded for CBS Records, BWE Records and released five CDs on her own independent label, Polestar Records.

Celebrate the first Friday with locals and tourists of Savannah! On the first Friday of each month, The Westin sponsors the First Friday Oyster Roast and Fireworks. The event is presented Lowcountry style with oysters by the buckets, a lowcountry boil, a full bar, and s’mores! This is a great event for the whole family. Live music and entertainment is provided, along with an extravagant fireworks show by the Savannah Waterfront Association. Definitely a great way to start each month in Savannah!

Dollhouse Productions, in conjunction with Crazy Horse Savannah, announce, “SEAM”, a multi-tiered group fashion and art series-of-events featuring Savannah’s finest emerging talent, including alumni from Savannah College of Art and Design, and recent featured and emerging designers from Charleston Fashion Week.®
Part 4-Runway Show: The finale SEAM fashion and art show will be held on Friday June 1st, beginning with a cocktail reception followed by the show. After the show, guests will have the opportunity to purchase specific items “right off the runway” straight from the designers or pre-order looks from the presentation. Tickets will be priced according to type: VIP, General Admission, and Students. Tickets will be available for purchase in advance at ARC on 320 W. Broughton or online.
A percentage of proceeds will be donated to AWOL (All Walks of Life) – an organization that provides arts and technology education for at-risk youth

In addition to the moving expressions of the children themselves, the film includes interviews with Richard Louv, author of Last Child in the Woods; tracker Jon Young; authors Stephen Kellert and David Sobel; outdoor educators Brother Yusuf Burgess, Misha Golfman and Amy Beam; Nancy Bell of The Conservation Fund; and teachers of every age group.
