Wet Willies for the cure

WET WILLIES STAFF at 2nd Annual Koozies event for Susan G. Komen foundation

PINK! Everyone was wearing it at Wet Willies on River Street and Tybee Island for the cure. 2nd Annual Koozies
for Boobies Breast Cancer Awareness Party appeared to be poised to break last year’s fundraising effort of $10,000. The staff (men included) donned pink t-shirts in support of the event.

There was a table (with pink ribbon table cloth) covered in a pleathera of pink items being sold to raise money. Among the items where bracelets, cups and of course koozies. Wet Willies provided a special non-alcoholic blended beverage, also pink, in honor of survivors who were there to enjoy the festivities.

We were able to catch up with Corporate Chef, Paul England somewhere between the pink balloons and the disco ball. He spoke to us about the City Market location opening soon, reinerating that the River Street location will continue to be a downtown hotspot. He also gave us some insider information about the new location that will have to wait to be revealed in a much-anticipated interview with the Chef Paul. Let’s just say, if you haven’t eaten at Wet Willies, what are you waiting for? We recommend the Shrimp and Grits.

Savannah Trivia: Did you know that the River Street location was the FIRST Wet Willie’s? Thanks for that tidbit Chef!
