Proceeds from this annual event went to support life-saving services provided by the Level 1 Trauma Center, Critical Care Division, and the Rehabilitation Institute. As part of Juneteenth at the Jepson, percussionist David Pleasant hosted a RiddimAthon where young and old had an opportunity to experience rhythmic joy with a variety of percussive instruments as they learned about Gullah culture. Click here to see photos from the event.

The Civic Center was pumped with bodybuilders during the Southern Isles Bodybuilding Figure & Wheelchair Championships Saturday. Participants flexed and posed for a panel of judges to vie for the prize within a variety of categories. Click here to see photos from the event.
