Local Flavor Art Reception

Lowcountry Gourmet Products at retail store.

Adding ‘flavor’ to Downtown Savannah is Lowcountry Gourmet Foods Store and Tasting Room. The Broughton street store is filled with vinegars and oils to enhance any dish or recipe. It provided a fragrant and delicious backdrop to the Local Flavor Art Reception; featuring artists represented by Dragonfly Studios.

Thursday Oct, 11th was an evening of dipping, tasting, music and community. The small store quickly filled with art patrons, foodies and curious passers by.The organizers went ‘local’ on every aspect of this event. The tasting sampling included locally grown sweet-ripe strawberries paired with a Chocolate Vinagar for dipping. Back In The Day Bakery bread was dipped in a Balsamic Vinegar and Georgia Olive Oil.

The sound of the banjo filled the room as musician Jimmy Wolling began to entertain the room. Molly Lieberman and Loop It Up Savannah raffled off a handmade quilt for the YWCA.
