Savannah Bark-B-Que

If you love dogs and truly consider them man’s best friend then head to the first annual Savannah Bark-B-Que hosted by the Westin Savannah Harbor Resort this Saturday, June 18th. It’s a fundraiser to raise money to build a new low-cost spay and neuter clinic for Savannah’s burgeoning pet overpopulation. Oliver Bentley’s Barking Bakery, along with the Westin Savannah Harbor Resort, will be hosting the event.

There will be an array of activities for people throughout the day beginning with a golf tournament at 1:00 p.m. and followed by a silent auctions, vendor stands and a barbeque for participants. All of the money raised will be donated to The Human Society of Savannah’s spay and neuter efforts. The main event of the day will be starting at 5:00 so don’t forget your dog! All of the events will be held at the The Club at Savannah Harbor.

The events are as follows:

1:00 pm “Bark-Gun” (shotgun) Golf Tournament (scramble format)
5:00 pm Hush Puppy Silent Auction (gift baskets, dog goodies and more) opens
5:00 pm Tour de Woof – Visit vendor tables and enjoy all the doggie activities
6:00 pm Savannah’s first ever Bark-B-Que – dinner for you AND your canine buds

Admission: $30 for adults and $15 for kids.
