The Chatham Orthopaedics Associates proudly present the Kickoff party for the Charity Ballroom Extravaganza on July 14, 2011 from 6 P.M. – 7 P.M. Proceeds from this event will benefit a variety of local charities and non-profit organizations such as:


• HUGS: Providing assistance to at-risk and addicted individuals
• Rape Crisis Center of the Coastal Empire: Providing support and information to sexual assault victims
• Savannah Humane Society: Providing compassionate treatment of animals
• The Good Samaritan Clinic: Giving free health care to adults without health insurance
• The Coastal Empire R.O.C.K. Group: A non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse through education.
• Ogeechee Riverkeeper: Protect, preserve and improve the water quality of the Ogeechee River basin
• Kids’ Chance of Georgia: Provides educational scholarships to the children of Georgia.


The main event will happen on September 17th at the Savannah Marriott and will feature local physicians dancing classic ballroom routines in a competition while representing a local charity of their choice. Prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed Male and for Best Dressed Female and of coarse, to the best dancers. The ticket to the event will have a cost of $100 per person but 60% of every ticket purchased will go directly to the charity chosen by the purchaser. The event will also feature dining and dancing.
