Creative Seed Initiative Presents DJ Stout

djstoutDon’t miss the latest Creative Seed lecture at Trustees Theater tonight, featuring DJ Stout. This award winning graphic designer has work in the permanent collections of a variety of museums and archives, and is in high demand as a judge and speaker at international design competitions and conferences.
DJ Stout garnered national acclaim for his thirteen years of work as the art director of Texas Monthly magazine, which was nominated for 10 National Magazine Awards and won three times during his tenure. His eye for photography and commitment to using the best photographers in Texas Monthly earned him a spot on American Photo magazine’s list of “100 most important people in photography.”

Stout went on to join acclaimed design firm Pentagram in 2000, specializing in the design and redesign of magazines, books, and catalogs, as well as identity design and branding. In 2004, he was profiled as one of I.D. magazine’s “Fifty American Designers,” and has won countless design awards for his clean, modern aesthetic.
He will be sharing his insight and expertise with Savannah thanks to the Creative Seed Initiative. The Creative Seed lecture series is a joint effort of BFG Communications and The Savannah College of Art and Design, bringing star creative talent to Savannah in order to inspire and educate local students and Savannah’s growing community of creative professionals.
This event is free and open to the public. 7:30pm at Trustees Theater.
