Southern style cookin’ and blues music in the historic Savannah riverfront. One of the most reasonably priced restaurants on Historic River Street, tourists and locals alike have been following the smell of Cajun spices and southern cooking wafting onto River St. near the Abercorn Street Ramp. Those lucky enough to listen to their grumbling stomachs follow the delicious Cajun aroma to Savannah’s finest Cajun restaurant, Bayou Cafe. A cozy affair, set inside a historic 1820’s cotton warehouse, Vince and his friendly staff at the Bayou serve excellent Southern Style Cajun Cuisine. Also, at 9pm seven nights a week, the lights turn down and the amplifiers turn up, as the Bayou hosts Savannah’s best Blues, Southern & Classic Rock bands.
