Scad Style Review

Last week the annual event SCAD Style celebrated style and design by holding several lectures, films, panel discussion and workshops with some of the fashion industry’s finest. This year brought designer Derek Lam, blogger Scott Schuman (The Sartorialist), jewelry designer Waris Ahluwalia and Glenn Senk, director and chief executive officer of Urban Outfitters Inc.

Jewels & Jeans 2011

The 2011 Jewels and Jeans took place last night featuring exclusive live music, silent auction items, art work and of coarse food from the very best local caterers and restaurants. The event raised money to support America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia and specifically to provide meals to thousand of children that participate in Childhood Hunger Initiative programs.

Motocross Hitting the Trails: Dirt Farm Off Road MX Park

Located just 12 miles south of Folkston, Georgia, Dirt Farm Off Road MX Park is the ideal spot for riders ranging from brave daredevils to timid beginners. Best in Show

Just across the Talmadge Bridge sits the breathtaking Ronald C. Waranch Equestrian Center. The 100-acre center belongs to the Savannah College of Art and Design and encompasses a picturesque barn, lush grazing fields, horse paddocks surrounded by white wooden fences, and a competition area. Along with an elite team, SCAD offers a B.A. in equestrian studies for those who want to turn their passion for riding into a lifelong career. A few of the student athletes took time out of their busy schedules to show off the high fashion side of the sport.
